We focus primarily and board-and train, not individual lessons.
Due to our uniqueness of a home environment as opposed to a kennel and what we offer in our board and train programs, the fact that you are placing your dog not only with a dog trainer, but also an animal behaviorist, that has studied in and has taught the behaviors of canines, we at Jersey City Canine encourage you to check out other dog trainers. We will now detail to you what we offer as a regular board and train program. All of our courses offer the following:
We will work with you on a skill transfer session for any board and training we do it for 3 to 5 sessions. It's not important to only train the dog, but the owner must acquire these skills if they are to then manage the dog. Training the owner is as important as training the dog and consistent follow up by the owner is required for results to be maintained.

Basic obedience training: our most popular introductory package: Package 1
In this 10-to 14-day course, your dog will learn the "sit", the "down" and the "come command", and the "place", or go to "bed" command. All work on leash. Dog will learn the meaning of the clicker and prong collar as training tools. Your dog will be introduced to controlled walk on a loose leash, with a prong collar. The dog will be started on loose leash manners, but complete reliability will require more than 10 days. There will be 5 free skill transfer sessions. Beyond 5 charged at $100/hr.
